On 18 March 2014, the Minster of Trade and Industry, Minister Rob Davies, passed a Gazette extending the implementation of the New Codes of Good Practice by 6 months. This means the New Codes are only set to come into effect after the 30th April 2015.
How does this affect you the Measured Entity?
• Your company has a year from the 30th April 2015 to implement the New Codes into your company.
• You may elect to be measured under the New Codes or The Old Codes until 30 April 2016.
Apex will be with you every step of the way, staying abreast of any changes and ensuring that you the client are aware at all times of where your company stands.
In our close affiliation with the IRBA we are assured there will be quite a few changes with regards the New Codes. A few areas need clarification and hence the reason for the extension. We are of the opinion that this extension means the DTI and Government are taking note of the issues raised and these will be addressed.
Should you have any further queries with regards The New Codes or require assistance with the existing Codes of Good Practise, please do not hesitate to contact one of our skilled consultants who will gladly assist.
